Liechtenstein’s leading private bank LGT Bank has partnered with SEBA to offer direct investments in digital assets to its clients.

The cryptocurrencies included in the initiative are the two largest digital currencies by market capitalization, namely:

Bitcoin and Ethereum.

LGT Bank enters the crypto system:

The financial institution noted that the demand for digital currencies has risen sharply in recent years.

To deal with the growing interest, LGT Bank will allow its customers to invest directly in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Commenting on the matter, Roland Matt, CEO of the bank said:

We are very pleased that we can now provide our clients with convenient access to these markets while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

We have worked extensively on this offer.

Cryptocurrencies are still in a dynamic development stage. Therefore, LGT first established the corresponding and necessary processes and framework for this type of investment.

LGT explained that the rules for investing in cryptocurrency will be the same as investing in traditional assets.

People will get the same documents for their tax returns, while the money is easily accessible when selling.

LGT customers will not have to worry about private keys and passwords because the bank will store their belongings.

Initially, the opportunity is only available to selected clients of LGT Bank based in Liechtenstein or Switzerland.

Given the demand in other areas, the Bank is seeking to expand the supply to include more countries.

LGT’s partner in its stride into crypto is Swiss digital asset firm SEBA.

He told the CEO of SEBA:

The combination of LGT’s suite of services and SEBA’s highest security standards will enable clients to delve into the world of cryptocurrency.

SEBA Expects Bitcoin to Reach $75,000 in 2022:

Earlier this year, former SEBA CEO Guido Buehler stated that the company had conducted research, and estimated that the price of Bitcoin could reach a new all-time high by the end of the year.

SEBA has forecast Bitcoin to reach between $50,000 and $75,000.

According to Buehler, the rise in price will be fueled by increased interest from institutional investors, and LGT’s move confirms this narrative.
