Respondents were mostly optimistic about Decentralized Finance (DeFi) with 34% revealing the intent to use such applications for personal or professional financial transactions.

In contrast, 17% stated that they had no plans to interact with it.

It can be said that the Corona pandemic has changed trends in the payment network and many individuals have switched from cash settlements to digital settlements.

18% of survey respondents expect their country to become cashless in the next year or two, while 13% admit to using cryptocurrencies as a form of settlement.

John Mitchell, CEO and co-founder of Episode Six, has predicted that the future payment network will include new tools, hinting that digital assets may play this role.

25% of Americans want Bitcoin as the official currency:

Soon after El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as an official currency, many other countries were rumored to be looking at adopting the same move.

Research by YouGov shows that nearly 30% of the US population would be happy to see Bitcoin enjoying the same status in their countries.

Interestingly, Americans living in the West were more supportive of such a potential law, while those living in the Midwest opposed it more.

The majority of females and those over 55 were the most vocal critics, while men and participants aged 25-34 were mostly in favor of seeing bitcoin as an official means of payment.
