Answer Learn the details of the first fork of the Bitcoin Cash mining reward
Bitcoin Cash (BCH), one of the Bitcoin split forks and the fourth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, yesterday fought its first mining reward halving which was set in block 630,000.
The halving event occurred yesterday at 10:19 AM UTC, and as a result of the event the BCH reward split from 12.5 to 6.25 BCH, meaning that BCH miners will get less BCH when they min each new block.
The Bitcoin Cash blockchain was produced as a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain, so there is a great deal of similarity in the way the two networks work.
Bitcoin Cash miners made $13.34 million in March from supporting the network alone, i.e. mining, and less than $4,200 in fees. The reward is cut in half, according to research The Block’s website.
